Vicarage Street Methodist Church, Yeovil

Welcome to our church today, we are really pleased you could join us.  If this is your first visit, it would be helpful if you would fill in the ‘welcome card’ in the pew and give it to one of the stewards.

Every Sunday morning there is a Crèche and Junior Church, which we call Noah’s Ark, in which children aged 0 to 10 have fun learning about Jesus.  The youngsters generally stay in the service for the first 20 minutes or so and leave after the collection.

After the service we meet for coffee in the Wesley Room and we would be delighted if you could join us.

Minister

Prayers for this week - please use them in your daily devotions

Thank you God for opportunity. Here is a new day, untouched by my hand, but held in yours. I need you and you have chosen to need me. Together we can bring to fruition some of life's endless possibilities. Thank you God. Amen

Praise to you, God, for all your work among us. Yours is the vigour in creation, yours is the impulse in our new discoveries. Make us adventurous, yet reverent and hopeful in all we do. Amen.

Lord, quieten us down, as we place into your hands those for whom we want to pray. We know that you love them with a greater love than we could ever imagine. In the stillness we are here, with you, for them. Amen

God the Sender, send you; God the Sent, go with us; God the Strengthener of those who go, empower you, that you may go to do His will; and the blessing of God Almighty, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, be among you and remain with you always. Amen

If you know of anyone who is in need of prayer, a visit, or practical help please speak to a steward or the minister.  Written prayers may also be placed in the prayer post box in the link.

Teach us Good Lord, to serve you as you deserve

To give and not to count the cost;

To fight and not to heed the wounds;

To toil and not to seek for rest;

To labour and not to ask for any reward;

Save that of knowing that we do your will.
