A Methodist Circuit is a family of churches which work together, sharing in mission and service in a particular area. Our Circuit consists of nine churches spread over the Somerset / Dorset border, served by three ministers and a group of Local Preachers. The Circuit is led by the Superintendent Minister with the other two ministers, a small team of Circuit Stewards and a few other officers. The Circuit is governed by the Circuit Meeting which meets two or three times a year. The Ministers and Local Preachers meet quarterly and the Ministers and Circuit Stewards meet every month to consider and direct the work of God in our area.

Each church has a Minister assigned to it, and has its own Church Council and teams of Stewards, Worship Leaders and officers.

The churches in the Sherborne & Yeovil Circuit are:

Vicarage Street Methodist Church
Preston Road Methodist Church
St. Mark's Chelston Avenue Methodist Church

The Circuit is a part of the Southampton District of the Methodist Church. The Church's overall governing body is the Methodist Conference which meets annually.
